Tyler is a dedicated musician with a rich background in guitar. He began playing at age 10 and earned his Bachelor of Music in Jazz Guitar from the Jazz Music Institute in 2016, graduating with honours. Since then, he has returned to JMI as a guitar, ensemble, and night class instructor.

In 2022, Tyler completed his Masters of Music at the Queensland Conservatorium, focusing on rhythm and composition. He began teaching at the Conservatorium in 2023, further expanding his impact on aspiring musicians.

Since beginning his teaching career, Tyler has shared his passion for music in various settings, including private schools, universities, and music studios, and is now pleased to offer private lessons from his studio in Bardon, providing a personalized and inspiring learning environment for students of all levels.

In addition to his teaching, Tyler has created a variety of educational videos and blog posts for JMI, showcasing his expertise. He offers lessons in person in Brisbane and online via Zoom, making his knowledge accessible to students everywhere.
